Armando is self-taught, starting his art career at the age of 42, immediately after the September 11, 2001, attacks. Over the past 24 years, he has spent thousands of hours experimenting with canvases, participated in outdoor art shows, been represented by galleries both nationally and internationally, and had his artwork featured on television, in commercials, and in print media.

Armando layers and reworks roofing tar, plaster, found objects, 3D recycled wood cubes, metals, and symbols, reimagining vibrant acrylic colors to create inspiring and emotionally powerful paintings. Sometimes gritty or realistic, ranging from rural barns to playful compositions, Armando’s work captures what an individual's dream might look like if they took a leap of faith.
