Join Chef Joho and his wife, Cynthia, for an intimate evening of wine and conversation at their home in Lakeside, Michigan — a rare opportunity to explore the wines of Chef Joho's native Alsace with the man who introduced them to a generation of American diners.

At his legendary Everest restaurant, Chef Joho assembled the world's most extensive collection of Alsace wines, pairing them with his cuisine to win over countless skeptics who assumed, wrongly, that Alsace wine is sweet.

Drawing on a lifetime's expertise, Chef Joho will lead guests through the seven noble grape varieties of Alsace, tracing their character, history, and the subtle terroir that defines each. Traditional Alsatian pretzels and tarte flambé, compliments of La Fournette Chicago, will be served throughout the evening.

By the final pour, you will understand why Alsace commands such devotion — and why so few who taste it ever return to overlooking it.
