Join COL Executive Director Ryan Postema for a guided walk through Burns Prairie Preserve in Galien, a stunning 38-acre prairie that is bursting with colorful wildflowers in the summer months. Learn all about prairie ecosystems, including their long history in the Midwest, and hear how COL partnered with the US Fish & Wildlife Service and MDNR to restore what was once a fallow farm field into the beautiful native prairie you see today.  After your walk, head over to Ray & Al’s for lunch at their hugely popular lunchroom in downtown Galien, offering sandwiches, soups and salads to die for!
